Trinity Episcopal wide receiver Trevion Armstrong made an oral commitment to Nevada on Friday in front of his teammates and friends at the school's athletic center. … According to Trinity coach Sam Mickens, Armstrong is the school's first Division I scholarship football player in at least 25 years. The school went without a football team from 1990-2006. "It's a good fit," Mickens said. … Armstrong originally played at Matoaca. He intended to transfer to Manchester in 2014, but the county denied his attempt. So he went to Trinity, where he reclassified. The goal at Trinity, he said, was to become better, both on the field and as a person. "Trinity definitely did that," Armstrong said. "This place changed my life for the better." His grades improved, he matured and he feels he became a better football player. Armstrong averages 72 receiving yards per game, seventh best in the Richmond area.
Students Madison Jewett '26 and Anna Rohrs '26 presented Ms. Crouch with her favorite orange roses as a small token of appreciation for the care she shows the Trinity community.
