Graduation

  • Schedule

    Traffic volume will be high entering campus. Please allow plenty of extra time for parking and walking to the Estes Center.

    Graduation will begin at 10:00 a.m.

    Seniors must arrive no later than 9:30 a.m.

    Immediately following the recessional, there is the traditional cap toss at the Morgan Hall flagpole.

    A reception for all seniors, family members, and guests follows in Dunn Courtyard.
  • Guests

    There is no limit to the number of guests or family members that may attend. There are no tickets.
  • Parking

    Please heed the directions of the yellow-jacketed traffic attendants as you enter campus.

    Parking is available on all of Trinity’s lots on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional parking will be made available on the baseball field. Allow extra time for parking and walking to the Estes Center.

    There will be 30 accessible parking spaces in the Estes Center lot.

    There will be a shuttle service for those who need assistance. Individuals who need aassistance may also be dropped off in the Estes Center loop.

  • Attire for Graduates


    Attire for Graduation: Same as for Awards Assembly (see below)
    • Exception: blazers/jackets do not need to be worn over shirt and tie
    • All students will wear their cap and gown for the graduation ceremony.
    • Only the following Trinity issued items may be worn on the outside of the graduation robe:
      • IB stole
      • “Top 10” medallion
      • Salutatorian or Valedictorian medallion
  • Rehearsal (Friday, May 24)

    There will be a school-sponsored picnic from 11:30-12:30 for the senior class and faculty/staff. Following the picnic, the seniors will meet in the Estes gym at 12:30 for graduation rehearsal. Attendance is mandatory. Rehearsal should last approximately 90 minutes.
  • Baccalaureate (Friday, May 24)

    The Baccalaureate ceremony is at 7:00 p.m. at Bon Air Baptist Church on Buford Road. Parents and guests are invited to attend. Seniors must be present by 6:30 p.m. Following the service, there will be a reception at the church. This non-denominational service is a chance for the seniors to be together and hear a final message from Trinity’s chaplain, Brian Griffen. All seniors are expected to attend. Please contact a senior class sponsor in advance if there are any conflicts.

  • Awards Assembly (Monday, May 13)

    The Awards Assembly is at 8:00 a.m. in the Estes Athletic Center. Parents and guests are invited to attend. Seniors must be in the Auxiliary Gym no later than 7:35 a.m.

    Attire for Awards Assembly:
    • Coat, tie, white or light pastel dress shirt, dress pants (no shorts), belt and dress shoes.
    • Well-groomed and clean shaven.
    • No tennis shoes, sandals, flip flops, denim, hats or sunglasses.

    OR
    • White dress suitable for attending religious service.
      • Dresses should be a school-appropriate length.
      • No bare backs, strapless, or low-cut necklines.
      • White sweaters must be worn around bare shoulders.
    • White, buff, or nude colored heels, dress flats, or sandals are required (no flip flops or tennis shoes). Please keep in mind that you will need to be able to walk comfortably in your shoes.
    Seniors must bring their cap and gown to designated locker rooms before the Awards Assembly.

    • Before bringing your cap and gown to school, please make sure that you have removed wrinkles. Please steam or use a COOL iron. A hot iron will damage the material.
    • The cap and gown should be on a single hanger with name clearly marked on each piece.
    • Immediately after the awards assembly, the traditional senior picture will be taken with everyone in caps and gowns.
    • Caps and gowns will then be taken home and brought back to school on Saturday morning for graduation.
  • Senior Chapel (Wednesday, May 1)

    Parents and guests are invited to attend this Trinity tradition honoring the graduating class. The program is held in the Estes Athletic Center, and includes speakers and a video presentation. Senior Chapel begins at 8:00 a.m. and runs for approximately one hour. Seniors must be in the Auxiliary Gym no later than 7:35 a.m. There will be a brief reception for seniors and guests afterwards.

    Attire for Senior Chapel:
    • Coat, tie, dress shirt, dress pants (no shorts), belt and dress shoes.
    • Coats must remain on during the entire assembly.
    • Well groomed and clean shaven.
    • No tennis shoes, sandals, flip flops, denim, hats or sunglasses.

    OR

    • Skirt and blouse or dress (appropriate school length). Dress shoes.
    • No spaghetti straps, strapless or backless dresses.
    • No tennis shoes, sandals, flip flops, denim, hats or sunglasses.
