Sam Mickens 1-Day Football Camps

Course Description

Learn from current and former NFL and college players — while competing against the best competition in the area. This is a one-day football camp led by Sam Mickens and the Trinity Episcopal School coaching staff. Campers will participate in on-field and classroom instruction, position-specific drills, and competition periods designed to bring out the best in every athlete.

    • Camp 1: Sunday, July 19 (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
    • Camp 2: Sunday, July 26 (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
    *Must have 20 attendees for camp to run.
    *Full refunds will be given if camp does not meet minimum threshold.

About the Director

About Sam Mickens: Sam Mickens has served as the head of the Trinity Football Program since 2012, building one of the state's premier private-school programs. Under his leadership, the Titans captured Division II VISAA State Championships in 2014 and 2015, and Division I VISAA State Championships in 2021 and 2022. During his tenure, Trinity football has also won three Virginia Prep League Championships and appeared in four of the last five state championship games.

Coach Mickens brings more than 30 years of experience and a deep understanding of both the game and the college recruiting process. Throughout his career, he has mentored and coached numerous student-athletes who have advanced to play at the collegiate and professional levels.

In recognition of his leadership and success, Coach Mickens was named Washington Football Team Coach of the Week in 2019 and was also nominated for Washington Football Team Coach of the Year that same season.

In addition to leading the football program, Coach Mickens serves as Trinity’s Director of Development and Alumni Relations, where he continues to build meaningful relationships on and off the field.
