From the youngest toddler to the most senior alumni — exciting new events, provided fun for everyone at this year’s Homecoming
With an expanded schedule featuring off-campus events like an Alumni Happy Hour and the revival of the annual golf tournament — in addition to the annual Oyster Roast and Alumni Reunion under the tent in Dunn Courtyard — Homecoming Weekend 2025 was bigger and better than ever. 
 
With eccentric theme-dress days like “Dress Like Adam Sandler Day,” “Twin Day” and “Bikers & Surfers Day,” the Spirit Week tradition continued each morning during the days leading up to Homecoming. Throughout the week, an inter-grade battle — with games like Spikeball, a water-balloon toss, dreidel and field-goal kicking — culminated in a feverish Pep Rally on Friday afternoon. Following “Human Hungry Hippos” and an electrifying lipsync contest, chants of “back to back” filled the Estes Athletic Center, as the toga-lad senior class of 2026 was presented with the Titan Cup for the second year in a row.
 
For alumni, the weekend’s festivities kicked off with a happy hour gathering at The Veil Brewery, where out-of-town travelers connected with local classmates in Richmond’s vibrant, post-industrial Scott’s Addition district.
 
On Friday night, nearly 400 alumni, parents and friends enjoyed a perfect fall evening under the tent in Dunn Courtyard at the annual Oyster Roast. Special thanks to oyster sponsor and Tuckahoe Seafood owner Drew Lucas ’98, as well as Chris Markunas ’01 and his band "Cheap Comfort," who kept the mood festive all evening long.
 
Reunion class alumni arrived early in the evening to reconnect and pose for their class photos. The prize for the largest turnout went to the class of 1985, celebrating their 40th reunion. Tied for second second were the class of 2000, marking their 25th, and the class of 2005, marking their 20th. On Saturday morning, more than 100 alumni, former faculty, family and friends gathered in Dawson Commons, behind the Academic Building, to celebrate the legacy of the late Page Mauck, former Trinity math teacher and environmental enthusiast. Rededicated in his memory, the Page Mauck Sustainability Garden will continue to serve as a vital connection to the natural world for Trinity students. [View photos from the garden event.] 
 
Following strong performances all week long by Trinity varsity athletes — including home victories by the boys soccer, field hockey and girls tennis teams — the football team hosted Anacostia High School from Washington, DC, on Saturday afternoon in Aycock Stadium. Before the game, star wide receiver Davion Brown ’26 was honored for setting the all-time RVA-regional record for receiving yards by a high-school player. In addition to the on-field action, Titan fans enjoyed a vibrant family fun zone with pumpkin decorating and an Alumni Tailgate in a special section behind the south end zone. 
 
Later that evening, students enjoyed an outdoor Homecoming Dance under the big tent in Dunn Courtyard, now a beloved Trinity tradition. 
 
Lastly, on Monday, October 6, alumni, parents, coaches and friends of Trinity convened at Salisbury Country Club for the revival of Trinity’s annual philanthropic golf tournament, now dubbed the Titan Tee-Off, presented this year by the Trinity Parents Association (TPA). Nearly 100 golfers foursomes enjoyed a sunny, warm October day on the links, raising over $20,000 for the school’s athletic program.
