2018-19 Class and Student Government Officers Inducted
It’s official! the new slate of Student Government Association (SGA) officers for 2018-19 was sworn in during Morning Meeting on Tuesday, April 24. In addition to class-level officers for each grade the student body will be represented by Gabe Parker, president, Jeremy Singleton, vice president, Ellie Patterson, secretary, and Ben Slone, historian.
“Thank you to all the officers for sense of civic duty and their commitment to excellence in representing the entire student body,” said Head of Student Life Laura Weiler “We look forward to the promise of the 2018-2019 school year and the many great moments large and small in which we can strengthen and honor our community.
Head of School Rob Short concluded the induction ceremony with some remarks on the importance of student leadership. “Always realize that as a leader you perform tasks in service of others,” he said, “so be a good listener and work hard to observe what is happening around you. Recognize that there are many ways to be a leader, so find a way that suits your authentic self.”

*The remainder of the officers for the Class of 2022 will be elected in the fall, once the incoming 9th grade class is welcomed to Trinity.
