Still Life Painting (Beginner & Intermediate)

Let’s Paint! The practice of still life painting has always been a way artists can express themselves and explore the fundamentals of composition, color, value, and light. In this class, students will strengthen their observational drawing skills, explore color theory and have a better understanding of value and form. Using traditional demonstrations and explanations, students will choose objects to compose a still life individually and collaboratively to create works using their own artistic voice. At the end of the week, students will have completed a number of paintings and have gained confidence and an appreciation for this classic painting genre.
