Coronavirus Updates

Updated Campus Policies Effective Wednesday, April 7

Important Information for all students and families regarding the return of students to 5 days a week on campus instruction

We are excited at the opportunities that continued local and national progress against the COVID virus afford everyone including our Trinity community. As we continue to allow more of our students to return to 5 days a week in-person instruction in the coming weeks we must make certain adjustments to best facilitate this long awaited change. Key points of emphasis are outlined below:

·  Mask Policy: After a review of current CDC and VDH guidelines regarding the health and safety of all members of our community and in light of renewed calls for continued vigilance, our current mask policy will remain in effect for the foreseeable future. Masks, which must cover both mouth and nose, are to be worn at all times both inside and outside of buildings. The singular exception is during Lunch when students may remove masks while eating but are expected to replace them when finished with their meal. Students who fail to comply with these requirements may be placed in Track C (virtual) for the remainder of the school year.

·  Social Distancing: These guidelines also remain in place. 6 feet between individuals except when eating inside when the distance is 8 feet.

·  8th and 9th graders: With the increase in the on-campus student population it is necessary to prescribe certain locations for our younger students. 8th and 9th graders must be in one of the following areas at all times during the day: their current classroom, the Estes or Aux gym if participating in a class virtually. If they have study hall sign-out they may be in the Courtyard or Howerton Plaza as well as the gyms during that period.  During all breaks and lunch they must be in the prescribed areas that will be given to them Wednesday morning (4/7).

·  Assigned Seating: for all students in every class. There will be assigned seating in each and every classroom and students must sit in their assigned location every day. This is to assist in contract tracing so that entire classes are not put at risk of quarantine.

·  Lunches: Students returning to campus 5 days a week should email Michelle Bavaro so that order numbers can be updated. There is no need to fill out an additional form.

·  Pick-up and Drop-off: Parents please note that with the addition of underclassmen it is
prudent to allow additional time for the pick-up and drop-off process. Expect
longer lines and a lengthier wait time. The pick-up/drop-off process will be monitored and adjusted as needed to maintain safety and enhance efficiency.

 ·  Student Parking: Students who drive to school should follow these guidelines:

o   If you participate in lacrosse or softball, park in the Estes Lot (Pittaway).
o   If you depart within 30 minutes of the end of school, park in the Senior Lot (behind Morgan Hall).
o   If you participate in soccer, park in the Senior Lot (behind Morgan Hall).
o   If you participate in baseball please park in the gravel area up by the baseball field.
o   For the safety of all and the efficiency of the pick-up/drop-off procedure, Students vehicles MAY NOT BE MOVED WITHIN THE CAMPUS BEFORE 3:30 p.m. each day. Infractions will be penalized.

Please note that parking guidelines are subject to further revision if required.

These simple adjustments to our on-campus routine will ensure a safe, healthy and productive return to campus for our student body.
