Titan representatives join with other students and teachers from around Richmond to build inclusion
Five students (Drew Covington, Finn Rowe, Aaliyana Carr, Britsia Hernandez and Ryon Sinclair) and three faculty members (Aparna Harger, Olivia McGuckin and Steve Dowell) represented Trinity at the annual Diversity Dialogue Day hosted by the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities (VCIC) on Thursday, December 12, 2022.
Trinity has enjoyed a rich partnership with VCIC over the last decade, with the organization providing workshops with student leaders, on-campus speaker programs and faculty-staff training sessions.
According to VCIC: “Diversity Dialogue Day is a one-day forum that brings together students to explore personal experiences with discrimination and develop conflict resolution skills. Students work closely with their peers from a wide range of backgrounds. At the conclusion of the Diversity Dialogue Day, participants develop strategies for increasing awareness and promoting inclusion within their schools.”
“As someone who wants to pursue a career in STEM, being able to have the opportunity to meet another woman who has made an impressive career for herself in STEM, is an inspiration for me,” said Madison Jewett ‘26
