The Ethel Powell Library promotes Trinity Episcopal School’s mission by encouraging and equipping students to discover their paths through the effective use of information, enriching exploration and lifelong learning.
We provide Trinity students with:
An inviting space where all members of the school community feel welcome and valued.
Access to a variety of high-quality print and nonprint resources for learning, research and pleasure reading.
Teaching that inspires curiosity and discovery.
Innovative technologies that prepare students for college, career and life.
The library is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. every school day. Students may use the library before and after school, during lunch, during their study halls and anytime when scheduled by their teachers.
Newly renovated in 2015, the library is a multifunctional space, serving as an academic commons, home to the print collection, adaptable classroom and technology center. The library is especially popular with students for its ample “wired” seating, great for independent or group study and impromptu instruction. The Powell Library features comfortable collaborative learning spaces and offers all students access to the EBSCO Discovery Service, a cutting edge online research tool on par with many colleges and universities.
Trinity students can access more than 10,000 items and resources, including books, DVDs and magazines. Our 24/7 offerings include a dynamic eBook collection and several research databases. We work closely with subject teachers to integrate information literacy and research skills across the curricula.
