Timeline/Considerations for Adding Students to Campus 5 days/week

Timeline for Adding Students to Campus (Spring 2021)

March 30 - April 5
8th and 9th Grade families decide on attending 5d/wk for their family or remaining in hybrid or Group C.

April 5
Due date for 8th and 9th grade families to commit to 5d/wk of attendance.

Easter Weekend (April 2-5)
We will rearrange desks at school to allow for more students in classrooms. Desks will be added to the extent which honors the CDC guidance and as is practical for room configurations.

April 7
8th and 9th graders choosing 5d/wk begin their 5d/wk attendance.

April 12 -15
10th and 11th grade families are invited to decide on 5d/wk attendance,  remain hybrid, or choose an all-virtual group.

April 15
Due date for 10th and 11th grade families to decide on 5d/wk attendance.

April 19
Return to campus for 10th and 11th graders choosing 5d/wk.

Added Restrictions:
  • 8th and 9th grade students will be restricted to designated areas of campus during lunch and break time.
  • For 10th and 11th grade students, where necessary, we may assign areas during break and lunch as needed, especially during inclement weather days where we do not have full use of outside areas.
  • Choosing the 5d/wk option means that virtual days must be reserved for illness only.

Considerations:
  • Many classrooms will not accommodate all students. Students will attend class virtually in common spaces such as the gym according to their group designation on A and B days.
  • How your child best learns: either working remotely at home or on campus should be considered. Can they learn from a remote location on campus as well as they do at home?
  • Weigh potential interruptions to your learning due to contact tracing (which may occur more often for those in-person five days/week).
  • During inclement weather days, there will be prescribed areas for 8-10th graders.
  • Drop off/Pick locations for carpool will remain the same.
  • Read more in this FAQ on the Trinity website.

Summary:
  • For indoor and courtyard areas mask wearing remains in effect.
  • In classrooms, where necessary, we will move desks to the new 3-ft guidance to increase in-person learning in the classrooms
  • In other indoor areas, the 6-ft rule remains in place.
  • For lunch or snacks during break, 6-feet or greater must be observed at all times.

Making your choice:
Families can complete a form in PowerSchool indicating their choice. The selection form also allows you to indicate your desire to either remain hybrid or switch to an all virtual track for the remainder of the year.
  1. Log into PowerSchool at trinityes.powerschool.com
  2. Select “Forms” on the left
  3. Under General, select the form called “Opportunity to be on campus 5 days/week.”
  4. Both the student and parent must login to PowerSchool to electronically sign and submit the form.

We hope to hear back from families by the following dates:
  • April 5 — deadline for 8th and 9th grade families to commit to 5d/wk of attendance (beginning April 7)
  • April 15 — deadline for 10th and 11th grade families to commit to 5d/wk of attendance (beginning April 19)
