TPA Treats Teachers to Dinner

Parent volunteers organize delivery of a special family meal to faculty and staff
Trinity teachers — who have spent the last several weeks adapting their instruction to a distance-learning model, while simultaneously balancing the demands of family — were given a special thank-you gift last week from the Trinity Parents Association.

“The TPA would like to thank you for all of your hard work this past month!” said the note sent to all Trinity faculty and staff last week. “You all are amazing and we are so grateful for all that you continue to do for our Titans! We would like to treat you and your family to dinner!”

Volunteers from the TPA’s Hospitality Committee, Beth Nash, Jen Slabaugh and Bonnie Field, gathered orders and organized the delivery of delicious family-style meals to dozens of homes of Trinity faculty and staff during the week of April 14-17. Faculty chose among meals prepared by Kitchenette and the Sharper Palate, two local catering companies that are both run by Trinity families.

Each meal arrived with a thank-you note: “If the world becomes a better place tomorrow, it will happen because of people like you;” along with a beautiful painting by Genevieve Johnson ’21 with the inscription, “Teachers plant the seeds that last a lifetime.”
