Freshman Class Retreat: Permission, Overview, Instructions
Each year, Trinity’s ninth graders participate in an off-campus program designed to foster effective group interaction. This year’s class will travel together to the Horizons Outdoor Learning and Retreat Center in Harrisonburg, VA, where they will participate in an outdoor program geared toward strengthening group skills and class unity in a fun and unique setting. A team of faculty chaperones will accompany the group on this three-day, two-night retreat, as professional facilitators from Horizons lead the daily activities.
This year’s trip is set for Thursday, September 12 through Saturday, September 14. The cost of the trip is $280, which will be split across the remainder of the billing cycle for parents on the monthly payment plan (and in a single invoice for all others). We encourage your child’s participation as we have found it to be an invaluable part of the Trinity freshman experience.
Please take a moment to review each of the links below in preparation for the trip. Several forms must be completed and returned to Trinity by Friday, August 30. Please take special note of the packing list, which lists items to bring—and not to bring—that will ensure a safe and successful trip for your child and his/her classmates. More information will be shared at the 9th Grade Parent Meeting on Thursday, August 29 at 7 p.m.
