Vivo! Intermediate/Advanced Strings Camp

Camp Description

“Vivo!” Is a course for students who have at least one year of experience playing violin, viola, or cello. Our daily schedule will include solo repertoire, chamber music, and technique time. We will enhance our music theory and note-reading skills through fun games and activities. Our focus will be expanding on our technical and musical skills through individual and group lessons. Each week will end with a concert!

About the Instructor

About Kimberly Ryan: Kimberly has been teaching private violin and viola lessons in the Richmond area for over 20 years. She is dedicated to teaching both Suzuki and traditional methods at all levels and ages, tailoring her style to the specific goals of each student and family.  She currently directs both the String Orchestra and Chorus programs at Trinity Episcopal School, as well as serving as Music Director at Southminster Presbyterian Church. As a performer, she regularly plays viola with the Richmond Symphony and has performed with the Virginia Opera Orchestra and many other professional ensembles. Her string quartet, Rosette, has become a popular performing group throughout the Richmond area, hosting creative concerts in unique venues.  Kimberly is the current President-Elect of the Richmond Music Teachers Association.
