In Memoriam: Bob Goodman, Founding Headmaster

Celebrating a long and impactful life of contributions to of the education of young people.
Dear Members of the Extended Trinity Community,

It is with reverent sadness that we share the news of the recent passing of Trinity’s founding Headmaster, Robert C. “Bob” Goodman, Jr., on May 7, 2018.

Over the coming days, weeks and months, we will remember Bob for the many ways in which he helped students discover themselves and find wonder in the world. We remember how he welcomed students to Trinity from all over the Richmond area and from around the world, forging bonds that lasted for decades. We remember Bob through the values within each of us that he helped instill by guiding Trinity’s early years in pursuit of our mission. We are grateful and appreciative for his role in launching the life-long learner in all of us.

Please take a moment to read the notice in yesterday’s Richmond Times-Dispatch, which details the remarkable and varied contributions that Bob made over his long life toward the education of young people.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on June 2 at 11 a.m. in the Perkinson Arts Center at Trinity Episcopal School. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Trinity Episcopal School, 3850 Pittaway Dr., Richmond, Va. 23235 or Christchurch School, 49 Seahorse Lane, Christchurch, Va. 23031. The family would like to thank the Trinity community for their thoughtful, kind and caring support during his final year.

Sincerely,

Rob Short
Head of School
