Athletics Update: LIS/VPL League Agreements for 2020-21
The member schools of the League of Independent Schools (LIS) and the Virginia Prep League (VPL) have recently announced decisions regarding athletic competition for the fall, winter and spring 2020-21 seasons. As a proud member of both leagues, Trinity Episcopal School is aligned with the recent decisions.
Notable among the league's decisions and Trinity's plans are:
Girls Tennis and Cross Country will begin league play as planned in October.
Field Hockey and Volleyball will be playing in limited, modified scrimmages beginning in October.
Limited Golf matches have been offered to returning varsity golfers from the 2020 spring season.
For all other sports, a condensed 3-season league-play schedule will be created, beginning with winter sports, then fall sports, followed by spring sports.
No spectators will be allowed at any contests (livestream will be available for all home contests).
No transportation will be provided by the school for any athletic events.
