Coronavirus Updates

Important Updates to Reopening Schedule

As we look toward opening our campus again to students, faculty, and staff, we are hard at work to make every effort toward our community's safety. Our campus is undergoing significant modifications to minimize COVID-19 exposure within our Trinity community.  These changes include a complete remodel of every academic building bathroom, the construction of an amphitheater for outdoor learning, the redesign of classrooms to ensure adequate social distancing, and other physical improvements. Additionally, we will engage in training with all faculty and staff.

It has become increasingly evident that all we wish to accomplish from remodeling efforts to training will require an extended Faculty Work Week. Therefore, we will delay the start of school for students by one week. Spending two weeks, rather than the traditional one week, in Faculty Work Week will allow us to meet the needs of teachers and staff more richly, to engage in diversity, equity, and inclusion training for the start of the year, add additional training in new equipment for the classrooms, and safety measures.
  • August 10: Faculty Work Week 1
  • August 17: Faculty Work Week 2
  • August 24: Students return to campus (Orientation Week)
  • August 31: First Day of Classes
I know we are all eager to get back to the campus we love and be together. However, to be sure we are prepared to move forward as planned and minimize the risk of infection, this intentional approach is necessary. Our top priority continues to be getting students, faculty, and staff back on campus in as safe an environment as possible. To that end, we have published a Reopening Guidelines and Expectations document outlining what families should be doing prior to the start of the school year and what a day on campus will look like.
