Update from College Counseling Office

Dan Geary, Director of College Counseling
AP Exam Information:   The College Board has announced that current AP students will have the opportunity to take their AP tests online! As schools and communities navigate the challenges posed by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the College Board will support AP students with free, optional remote learning and at-home AP testing. These options will give students the opportunity to earn the college credit and placement they've been working toward all year.

Seniors:  Next Steps for College Acceptances, Decisions and Deposits:
If you have been accepted, carefully read the information and respond by the college’s deadline date.
If you are confronting a dilemma concerning which school to choose, consider using the Comparing Colleges Worksheet (PDF) to help you make your decisions.

April 1 is the most commonly recognized date for colleges to announce college acceptances.
May 1 is the deadline for most colleges to receive a deposit.  This confirms your acceptance of the offer.
(Only one deposit is allowed indicating your commitment to attend that college in the fall 2020.)

Juniors:
The most important thing you can do right now is perform well in your on-line classes!  Exercise good daily discipline, allot enough time to study and prepare for each class, and carefully follow your teacher’s directions.  If you need help, be sure to ask.

All Trinity Students:
This would be a good time to start planning your summer activities.   Even though we are in a temporary period of uncertainty, you should try to contact volunteer organizations, prospective summer employers, and community leaders to express your interest. When businesses and other organizations re-open, they will want students like you to join them! Here is a list of organizations where you can volunteer this summer:
