New Student Leaders Elected

In second-ever all-school student election conducted entirely online, candidates delivered video speeches in Virtual Morning Meeting.
Congratulations to the leaders of the Trinity Student Government Association (SGA) for 2021-2022. In the first student government election conducted entirely online, Trinity students were able to vote for their slate of candidates after hearing video speeches delivered via videoconference at Morning Meeting earlier in April.

The new SGA president will be Jack Hoyle ’21. “Trinity has always been something very special,” said Hoyle. “Its tight-knit community has made it into a place that is truly like no other. I will do everything I can to make sure that every one of you has the opportunity to experience Trinity for the amazing school environment that it is.”

Ryan Carlton ’21 was elected vice president. “My favorite weeks at Trinity have always been the spirit weeks… next year, I will do everything in my power to bring back those weeks and show the younger grades how great they really are,” said Carlton. “I'm sure you are all familiar with the saying ‘leave it better than you found it.’ I hope to make Trinity a better place before I leave.”

Estelle Chong ’21 was elected secretary. “I know this year has been far from easy, but I also know there are brighter days to come,” said Chong. “I want to do everything I can to make sure each and every one of you feel heard, understood, appreciated and valued for who you are. I want to create an atmosphere where you feel like you have a voice, because you do, and that you feel safe in your own skin… I want to look back on this next school year and feel happy about the memories we made and proud of the ways we lived our lives.”

Dakota Bemberis ’21 will be SGA historian. “SGA representatives need to be dependable and know how to be a team player,” said Bemberis. “The pandemic has taught me that life is short and to live it to the fullest.” Recalling favorite Trinity traditions like Grand Illumination, Morning Meeting, Homecoming, the Freshman Retreat and cheering at sporting events, Bemberis concluded: “As a historian, I want to capture all of the iconic moments… My main focus is to make sure we have the best high school experience possible. I promise to consider all opinions and ideas”

In addition to serving as role models for Trinity's spirited, inclusive and well-rounded student community, SGA officers lead Morning Meetings each morning and help plan all-school events. Student government is just one of dozens of leadership opportunities through clubs and activities available to Trinity students.
