Turf Field Project

Our turf field project is nearing completion, but we need YOUR help to finish what we started.

Between now and September 10, every gift made to the turf field project will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000 thanks to an anonymous and very generous Titan. That means your gift is automatically DOUBLED!

Your gift will have an impact on hundreds of Trinity students — giving them an all-weather, state-of-the art, environmentally friendly playing surface. Help us finish the field and make Aycock Stadium a source of Titan pride for decades to come.

It is with much excitement we announce the addition of a sports turf field to Trinity’s athletic facilities. The new synthetic grass field will be located in Aycock Stadium where our community gathers time and time again for athletic contests and school events. This campus enhancement will allow our student-athletes the opportunity to hone their skills on a collegiate-level field while having the flexibility to play in all weather conditions.
"The addition of a turf field in Aycock Stadium is more than just an aesthetic improvement. It provides our student athletes the chance to play on a surface that is in line with other league and state member schools, as well as championship play.  We are thrilled about the doors this opens for us in regards to competitive preparation as well as the day to day operation conveniences it provides the school," Anna Prillaman, athletic director.
We are grateful to a number of lead donors who identified a need and wanted something better for our student-athletes and the entire Trinity community.  This generosity propelled the project and gave us the momentum needed to move forward with construction plans. To date $700,000 has been raised towards the $1.1 million goal.

To add your support — and help us "Finish the Field" please give online between now and the campaign's conclusion on September 10, 2021 and DOUBLE YOUR GIFT
Football, field hockey and boys and girls lacrosse will utilize the new sports turf field.  Boys and girls soccer will play on the former field hockey field.  The sports turf field will include a wood infill versus synthetic material. This upgrade provides a field surface that is safer for athletes and one that is more environmentally friendly. The wood infill offers a cooler surface and is less abrasive which decreases the likelihood of injuries. To learn more about the surface, click here.
