Science Faculty

Faculty Trinity is serious about science. We have deliberately crafted here an approach to science education designed to produce students both curious and caring, students who-whether or not they choose to follow a scientific path-will be inspired to focus throughout their lives on some of the big challenges our world faces.

To that end, Trinity promotes cross-curricular opportunities between science and other departments, and brings practical experience into the science curriculum. That curriculum includes intensive International Baccalaureate and advanced placement courses, technology-infused research and lab work, outdoor science classrooms and environmental labs, a Virginia native plant program, and a project to develop campus-wide nature trails. There is also an interdisciplinary river course offering intern-like methods of real data collection and reporting.

Trinity's scientific focus is, in short, real-life problem solving, cross-curricular learning and analysis - based study - all of which is considerably enhanced by our new Science Discovery Center.
