No other subject travels across the curriculum as does English. We could call it communication skills, critical thinking, literary appreciation, debate and discourse, logic, grammar, organizational skills, self-expression, creative writing. We can say that it prepares a student for every aspect of life, from career to relationship skills, from citizenship to spiritual depths, from home to college.

English studies lead to new ways of seeing and understanding, and especially of communicating that understanding. Our English curriculum and philosophy reinforce the broad-ranging contribution these studies are sure to make over a lifetime of living and learning.
