About the TES Library
Staff
A Good Read
With its overstuffed chairs and sunny southern exposure, the Trinity
Library is a comfortable and welcoming place for students to be. Still
only a few years old, the "new" library houses some 13,000 volumes, all
the latest magazines, complete and up-to-date vertical files, the
computer lab and eight research stations.
Seating is available for two classes at a time, and there is a most helpful librarian who seldom says "Shush."
About the Library
The TES library is located in Morgan Hall, a beautiful facility added
to the east side of the Trinity quadrangle and courtyard in the year
1999. Hours
The TES library is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through
Friday, during the school year.
Students may visit the library with classes when scheduled by their
teacher, during their study halls, or after school.
Loan Policies
Books, DVDs, vertical file material, and back issues of magazines may be
borrowed from the library for a period of two weeks. There is a
five-day "grace period" after the due date. Fines for books returned
after the grace period are $.10 per day per book, including the grace
period. Overdue and fine notices are given to students weekly by their
advisors. Reference material and current periodicals do not
circulate.
Services
There is a copier available in the library for student use. Please see
library staff if you need assistance. Additionally, there are several
networked printers available to students. PLEASE be reasonable in your
use of these resources. We strongly encourage that you e-mail
information to yourself or save it to a disk. We hope to avoid having
to charge a fee for paper, ink, toner, etc.
The Internet is available at all computers in the library. Students
must have a signed Acceptable Use Policy on file with the Librarian in
order to be allowed access. Misuse of library computers may result in
loss of privileges.
For Upperclassmen Only:
Interlibrary loans are an option from Virginia Commonwealth University,
the University of Virginia Library, and the State Library. All these
libraries have catalogs that can be searched on the web. Please see the
Librarian to request an interlibrary loan and allow at least one week
for this service.
The University of Richmond library has a limited number of passes
available to TES students. See Mrs. Sprague to obtain a pass. Please
behave in a mature fashion when visiting the University of Richmond.
