Junior Work Week
March 1-5, 2010
Junior Work Week represents an
opportunity for you to explore a career or specific job of interest
for a week during your junior year. The
goal of the program is to help you
- gain insight into the day to day
activities of a job within a field of interest
- understand how the job fits into the
overall operation of the organization, and
- learn about the education and
experience requirements for this type of position
- will go through the process of
deciding on and securing a position of interest.
- will get hands-on experience in
a career of interest to you – what’s really involved in that “dream job”?
- can draw upon this
experience as they begin the college application process their senior
year.
NOTE: IB Diploma Candidates:
You are strongly encouraged to be mindful of CAS requirements when journaling for work week!
